Cancellation & Refund Policy
Effective date: 10/09/2025
Applies to: all DataSchola workshops, bootcamps, courses, events, and consulting sessions (in-person or online).
1) Participant Cancellations
- 30+ days before the start:
Full refund of fees paid (less any non-recoverable payment processing fees) or a 100% credit toward a future DataSchola event. - 15–29 days before the start:
50% refund or a 75% credit toward a future event. - 0–14 days before the start (including no-shows):
No refund. You may receive a 50% credit toward a future event at our discretion. - Substitutions:
You may transfer your ticket to a colleague at no cost up to 24 hours before the start. Email [insert email] with the new attendee’s name, role, and contact details.
Credits are valid for 12 months from the original event date and are not transferable for cash.
2) Rescheduling by Participant
- One free reschedule is permitted if requested 30+ days before the start.
- If requested 15–29 days before the start, a 25% reschedule fee applies.
- Within 0–14 days, rescheduling is not available (see Section 1).
3) Cancellations/Changes by DataSchola
- We may cancel, postpone, or switch delivery mode (e.g., in-person → online) if required.
- If we cancel an event, you may choose a full refund or a 100% credit.
- If we postpone or change the venue/mode, you may transfer to the new date/delivery or request a full refund.
4) Force Majeure
If an event is prevented or materially impacted by circumstances beyond either party’s reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions, industrial action, major network/cloud outages), we will work with you to transfer to a future date or issue a credit. In such cases, refunds may be limited to amounts recoverable by us from third parties.
5) Travel & Third-Party Costs
We are not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other third-party costs you incur. Please consider flexible bookings and travel insurance.
6) How to Cancel or Reschedule
Email info@dataschola.com.au with your booking reference, organisation/school, attendee name, and request (cancel, reschedule, or substitute). The timestamp of your email determines the notice period.
7) Refund Method & Timing
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method in 5–10 business days. Payment processor timelines may vary.
8) Consulting Engagements (Fixed-Date On-Site/Remote Days)
- 30+ days’ notice: cancel or move days with no fee.
- 15–29 days’ notice: 50% of day rate payable for affected days.
- 0–14 days’ notice: 100% of day rate payable for affected days.
- Pre-paid hours remain valid for 6 months from invoice date unless otherwise agreed.
9) Special Consideration
For medical emergencies or significant school disruptions, we may offer flexible credit upon reasonable evidence. Please contact us.
10) Jurisdiction
This policy is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) remain unaffected.
